Who is Alesso?

For the unversed, Alesso, whose full name is Alessandro Renato Rodolfo Lindblad, is a well-known Swedish DJ.

The 30-year-old musician has worked with artists like Hailee Steinfeld, Calvin Harris, Anitta, Usher, David Guetta, Liam Payne and more.

Alesso has also performed at numerous A-list music festivals like Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland and more.

Born in Stockholm, Alesso is of Swedish and Italian descent. The star began honing his musical skills early as he took up piano lessons at age 7. However, it was at 16 that Alesso discovered his interest in Electronic Dance Music.

Then, in July 2014, Alesso signed with Def Jam Recordings, becoming only the second EDM artist to sign with the label after Afrojack.

A look at Katy Perry’s ‘When I’m Gone’ music video

Katy was teasing a collab with the Swedish DJ for several weeks.

The When I’m Gone video premiered on Monday, January 10. The video sees Katy in a sexy avatar as she shows us some quirky yet scintillating moves.

While Alesso doesn’t break a leg to the music as Katy does, the DJ does make some appearances in the clip. We also get to see the duo together.

“When it comes to my music videos, we all know I like to push the boundaries and myself, and create unique opportunities for my fans to see them,” the 37-year-old songstress said in a statement.

“ESPN and especially College GameDay hold a special place in my heart, so partnering with Alesso to become the first artists to ever debut a global music video within a live event on ESPN made for a perfect and natural pairing,” she further said.

Fans react to the collab

Fans are drooling over the music video and Katy’s sensual avatar ever since the song was released. Here are some notable reactions.
