Born in Pontiac, Michigan to Irish immigrants, John Harte served honorably for four years in Vietnam before returning home and serving as a bodyguard for some of the most famous bands in history. He’s been called “Big” John Harte since he was a teenager by his peers because of his large stature and intimidating demeanor.
