The Repair Shop fans in stitches as French and Saunders gatecrash studio and shriek at the cameras


THE Repair Shop fans are very excited forward of the look of French and Saunders on the BBC present.

For this 12 months’s Comic Relief, The Repair Shop’s workshop of desires will welcome the hilarious duo who filmed a particular promo for the episode and it left fans in stitches inside seconds.

Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders have reprised their characters ‘The Extras’ to get a free restore from the knowledgeable staff.

In a video posted two Instagram, the comedy icons giggled in direction of the digital camera with Saunders beginning, “we’re in the Repair Shop.”

French appears at the camerawoman saying, “such a lovely young lady isn’t she.”

“You’ve caught us in the repair shop, we’re going to be on television,” Saunders giggles.

French then will get actually near the digital camera as Saunders excitedly repeats host Jay Blades’ identify.

“If you need that fixed you’ve come to the right place,” French says to the digital camera.

But Saunders corrects her: “No, the incorrect place. They don’t do new issues.

“They only like old things.”

They hilariously end off the promo video by shouting the specialists’ names and French says of Saunders, “she’s a bit excited, she hasn’t taken her pills.”

Fans beloved the transient peek behind the scenes and admitted the girls had them in stitches.

“I was laughing before you two said a word! Thank You!❤️❤️,” commented one fan.

Another added: “😂😂. Love these two. Hilarious 😂😂.”

And a 3rd wrote: “That’s going to be funny 😍😍.”

The episode which airs subsequent week on Red Nose Day, takes a chaotic flip when the pair of wannabe TV stars meet none apart from Jay Blades himself.

But when Jay realises they’re extra extra-verts than extra-keen to have their beloved belongings repaired, he sends them packing.

All the whereas Julie Tatchell and Amanda Middleditch get to work on one other very particular visitor’s restore, demonstrating how proficient and skilful they’re.

Ahead of the present, Dawn stated: “I don’t assume we’ve ever stated no to Comic Relief as a result of it simply is just too essential, and as a result of it’s from our neighborhood, and we had been there proper at the very starting.

“I know that the money is spent correctly and I know that there are projects that are ongoing that need us to be ongoing and I wouldn’t ever want to let anyone down.”

Echoing her feedback, Jennifer stated: “As I watched The Repair Shop, I assumed all I may ever see was these characters going into The Repair Shop, or me and Dawn, pretending to fix one thing or imitating the characters.

“You know, I just thought, this is the show for us. Then Comic Relief said we’ve got The Repair Shop and it was like the perfect thing. It was so perfect.”

The skit will air on Red Nose Day at 7pm on Friday, March 18 from 7pm on BBC One.
