A 17-year-old driver in Houston allegedly struck and killed three valet staff close to a set of nightclubs whereas fleeing from police on Friday night time, authorities stated.
Ahmedal Tayeb Elnouman Modawi sped away from a sergeant who pursued the teenager after recognizing him doing donuts in a personal car parking zone off Fairdale Lane at about 10:30 p.m., in line with Houston police.
After reaching speeds of as much as 60 mph, Modawi allegedly slammed his white Infiniti sedan into three younger males working as valets on the native companies, authorities stated.
“We’re out here because one person decided they didn’t want to get a ticket — or potentially go to jail for a misdemeanor,” Sean Teare with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office stated at a press briefing close to the scene.
The three victims have been pronounced useless on scene, police stated.
Modawi’s automotive crashed right into a ditch after the deadly collision. He and a passenger have been hospitalized with non-life threatening accidents, cops stated.
The suspect was later charged with three counts of homicide and one depend of aggravated assault with a motorized vehicle.
Police stated it was decided the teenager driver was not intoxicated on the time of the crash.
