Shoppers in Bugis Junction had fewer choices yesterday, as components of the mall have been cordoned off after a dislodged sprinkler induced water to stream into a number of store items.
A submit on the mall’s Facebook web page yesterday morning stated that this meant some shops could possibly be quickly closed for cleansing.
As at 4.30pm yesterday, all affected retailers had reopened, besides Chir Chir Fusion Chicken Factory, which is able to reopen immediately, stated a Bugis Junction spokesman.
On Friday at about 11pm, a sprinkler situated on the foodcourt on the mall’s third degree was dislodged due to ongoing tenancy works, stated the Facebook submit.
This induced water to stream into a number of store items in addition to some escalators, lifts and corridors from degree three to the basement degree.
“The affected section has been cordoned off and some stores may be temporarily closed on (Saturday) for cleaning,” stated the submit.
“The rest of the mall is open for business as usual.”
