Pregnant Alabama lady, boyfriend shot lifeless by ex-husband in horrific murder-suicide

A pregnant Alabama lady and her boyfriend had been shot lifeless final week by her ex-husband earlier than he turned the gun on himself in a horrific murder-suicide, police stated.

Jessica Martin, 35, who was eight months pregnant, was shot when her ex-husband Jeffrey Lynn Martin, 47, stormed into her Phenix City dwelling on Sept. 24.

Her boyfriend and father of their unborn baby, 40-year-old Richard Cook, was killed attempting to guard her, their relatives told WTVM. The kinfolk stated Cook armed himself with a baseball bat as he tried to fend off Martin.  

After taking pictures his ex-wife and her boyfriend, Phenix City Police stated Martin then fled to a wooded space reverse the home and killed himself.

Jessica was rushed to hospital the place she was pronounced lifeless, in response to police. Doctors carried out a caesarian in a bid to avoid wasting her unborn baby however had been unsuccessful.
