Maurizio Sarri has spoken to Everton star, six-month loan on the cards

Il Messaggero claims Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri has spoken to Everton star Allan over a possible return to Serie A – on loan. The report claims the Brazil international is available on loan until the end of the season.

Allan, 31, remains a key part of Everton’s midfield – starting 16 of their 18 league games. He was absent for the other and remained an unused substitute against Chelsea in the 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

There is a bad feeling at Everton at the moment and while Allan remains integral, he could decide to leave. Lucas Digne is on his way out, having fallen out with Rafa Benitez. Lazio are interested in signing the Brazilian.

The £70,000-a-week (Spotrac) star is said to have now held talks with Lazio boss, and ex-Chelsea gaffer, Sarri. It is believed that Allan is available to leave Goodison Park on loan until the summer – and could return to Italy.

Allan to Lazio: Everton have got to block Brazilian star’s exit

There are numerous players that could leave Everton this month. The club hardly spent in the summer and that was down to financial fairplay – but have already spent the best part of £40million on two new signings.

Nathan Patterson arrived for a deal that could eventually be worth £16million, while Vitaliy Mykolenko is believed to have cost around £20million. So, outgoings are likely and Digne is expected to be the first.

But if Everton can, they have got to keep hold of Allan – especially if the holding midfielder is only going to leave the club on loan. The lure of returning to Italy and playing for Lazio is likely to prove tempting.
