LVMH buys fragrance firm Officine Universelle Buly 1803

PARIS, Oct 5 (Reuters) – Luxury group LVMH (LVMH.PA) has bought French fragrance and cosmetics firm Officine Universelle Buly 1803 with an eye fixed to increasing it overseas, including to its sprawling empire of excessive finish labels.

The buy comes 4 years after the group’s preliminary funding within the perfumer, by means of its minority funding fund LVMH Luxury Ventures, the group stated in a press release.

The historic label was relaunched by Ramdane Touhami and Victoire de Taillac in 2014 and sells perfumes, scented candles and lacquered toothbrushes.

Financial particulars of the transaction weren’t supplied.
