B.C. finds 180 new COVID-19 cases, surpasses 75 per cent adult vaccination

VICTORIA — B.C. has passed the 75 per cent mark in first-dose COVID-19 immunization as it looks to ease pandemic restrictions next week.

In a statement, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry reports 180 new cases of the virus in B.C. Friday (June 11), including 39 within Interior Health.

Overall, the province has recorded 146,176 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began, spread out as follows:

  • 35,210 — Vancouver Coastal (up by 11)
  • 85,123 — Fraser Health (up by 107)
  • 5,120 — Island Health (up by 13)
  • 12,771 — Interior Health (up by 39)
  • 7,751 — Northern Health (up by 10)
  • 200 — Reside outside of Canada (unchanged)
