£21m teenager could now join German giants with Moyes allegedly unconvinced

West Ham United seemingly won’t be signing Sparta Prague star Adam Hlozek this month – but he could end up signing for a German giant instead.

The Hammers really need to come out of this transfer window with another striker; it’s now a year since Sebastien Haller was sold to Ajax.

Haller hasn’t been replaced, and Michail Antonio really needs some help as the top end of the pitch.

A popular name touted to West Ham is Hlozek, with 90Min reporting in November that the Hammers were eyeing a deal.

West Ham have been active in the Czech market of late. Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal both joined from Slavia Prague, with international teammate Alex Kral currently on loan from Spartak Moscow.

With Czech businessman Daniel Kretinsky now on board too, you can imagine that West Ham will continue looking to that market.

Hlozek is considered to be the next big thing in Czech football having shown early promise with Sparta.

More of a creator than a goalscorer right now, Hlozek has racked up 12 assists as well as six goals this season.

At just 19, Hlozek looks to be a star of the future – but West Ham boss David Motes seemingly isn’t convinced.

The Athletic report that Moyes has previously been ‘reluctant’ to sanction a deal for Hlozek, believing he isn’t quite good enough to displace Antonio.

That makes a deal this month seem a little unlikely, but Hlozek could yet be on the move.

Bild claim that both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund would like to sign Hlozek having been attracted to his potential.

Dortmund would rather wait until the summer, when they will know Erling Haaland’s future, meaning there is a window of opportunity for Bayern.

Sparta want around €25million (£21million) for Hlozek, and some West Ham fans may be a little frustrated if the teenager heads to Bayern or Dortmund after Moyes said no.
